Chardonnay 'Tradition' 2022

Sourced from a 1.12-acre parcel, this 100% Chardonnay was grown at Domaine Roche Vineyard, self-rooted, and planted by the Roche Family. This is the third vintage of Chardonnay from these vines.

Grapes were hand-picked in the early morning while still cool, and whole-bunch-pressed. The juice was settled overnight and then transferred to 2^nd and 3^rd fill 225L light toast French oak barrels for fermentation, with a complete malo-lactic fermentation in the spring. It was aged on lees for 8 months before racking and bottling.

Complex on the nose, this wine shows tones of apricot and papaya with hints of lemon curd and pineapple dashed with nutty spice. This wine would pair best with roasted chicken, grilled salmon, or even a big bowl of popcorn.
