CHÂTEAU 2019
Drawing from the savoir-faire of six generations of winemaking in Bordeaux, CHÂTEAU 2019 is the 4th vintage of a new tradition of Grand Vin. Unfined and unfiltered.
Tasting Notes
Our annual masterpiece demonstrating the world class potential of BC wine. Optimal 2019 weather produced complexity with just-ripe blackberry notes, tabbaco leaf, pencil lead. Subtle cinnamon from French oak. Powerful, precise. Balanced for longevity.
Food Pairing
Lamb shanks braised for days. Century eggs, braised shiitake mushrooms, bok choy. Tomahawk steaks grilled on open fire. The best camping trip ever.

Terroir
Merlot is grown at Kozier Organic Vineyard on the Naramata Bench, on west-facing slopes overlooking Okanagan Lake. Soils include both granite gravel and finer glacial sediments. Cabernets Franc and Sauvignon are grown just north of Oliver, on well-sorted rounded river rock and gravel, a remnant of post-glacial riverbed.
