Juicy apricot, citrus and wild flowers on the nose. Fresh and tingly bitters providing length on the palate. Hazy, expressive, and lingering.
Food Pairing
Classic charcuterie and cheese board. Dukkah-crusted roasted salmon with bok choy. Asian-style soba noodles with grilled tofu and veggies. Scavenger hunts and puzzles.
Terroir
Planted in 2007, Kozier organic vineyard is located on the Naramata Bench, 4km north of the winery. The 15-acre vineyard is a gently sloping amphitheatre, steeper as it approaches the mountainside. It faces west towards Okanagan Lake.
Winemaking
3 techniques to make one cuvee. Short overnight maceration, 3-week long fermentation, 5 months long maceration. Destemmed, unfined, unfiltered. Aged in stainless steel.
