Wine without food, or food without wine, just isn’t a world I want to imagine.
This week, I’m bringing you into my kitchen—because when our 2022 Tradition Chardonnay whispered its intentions, I knew exactly what needed to be made: French Onion Soup.
Slow-cooked, savoury, and deeply comforting. It’s one of those timeless dishes that fills the house with warmth and brings everyone to the table. And this version? It’s my mother’s recipe, shared with love and a generous pour of Chardonnay, of course.
I’ve always believed in letting the wine lead. In France, we don’t pair the wine. We please it. The bottle speaks. I obey.
Join me as I cook from instinct, from memory, and from what’s in the glass.
You can watch the full behind-the-scenes video below and try the recipe yourself this weekend.

Ripe apple and spicy ginger blossom are balanced by subtle oak, reflecting our Burgundian experience in every sip. Rich and elegant — the perfect companion for a bowl of French onion soup.
Thank you for supporting our vigneron family, season after season.
